Why I want to play Ara

Why I want to play Ara:

The reason why I would like to play Ara in the play Fugee is because I feel that i can  really relate to her as a character. Ara is tough on the outside, she puts on a hard exteroir but actaully inside she is hurt. I can realte to this, i feel that at some points in my life i have felt that way and i will be able to connect to the her as a character.

In the play she is very loving and caring towards Kojo and the people around her in the refuge, I feel i would be able to play a kind, caring character. I understand her pain and why she feels she has to be strong for those around her.

I understand that the role comes with responsbilty and I feel i could take on the role of Ara in my stride. Ara is quite like me in the sense that she has had to grow up fast, forget her past and be mature beacsue of the circumstances she is under, i can see me in her which is why i mainly wanted to play the role of Ara.
