Role on a wall

In last weeks lesson we began to discuss all the thoughts and feelings of three of the characters from Fugee, Kojo, Ara and Chenug.

We drew a human figure on a large piece of paper and talked about the emotions the characters would be going through. We wrote these on the inside of the body, and the characteristics of the character would go on the outside.

Kojo:
I learnt that Kojo would be feeling extremely scared and alone. But also that he was confused and unsure about what he was doing and where he was. I learnt that Kojo would be feeling helpless and disarranged.
The 'role on a wall' task really helped me to understand Kojo as character in more detail.
Physically writing down the emotions and where in the body he would be feelings these emotions helped to visualise Kojo in much more detail.

Ara:
I learnt that Ara has built herself a tough outer layer but inside she is still very hurt and damaged from her past.
I learnt that she takes on the role as the supporter sometimes and thats because she had to fight and defend her self before she came to the uk.
In addition i learnt that she has a massive heart for those around her and especially Kojo and that deep down she is innocent and young but she has to built a tough exterior because of the pain she has been through and the fact she doesn't have any family to support her.
I can see that she has hate in her, hate for the flawed system in the uk for fugees.

Cheung:
I learnt that Cheung is not only strong in physicality because he is into acrobatics but he is strong minded and ambitious.
I learnt that his appearance is quite shabby his clothes tatty and dirty.

In addition i learnt that Cheung is almost empty inside, a little lost because he has ambition and talents but he is a Fugee and i found out that he finds that hard to deal with.

I learnt aswell that he likes girls quite a lot and try's to find any connection he can with people.
